KAIM RESEARCH LLC

Privacy Notice

Effective September 20, 2026

This notice explains what personal information KAIM Research LLC ("KAIM Research", "we", "us") collects when you use our website, indexes, calculators, and reports, and what we do with it. We keep it to what we need to run the Service.

Who is responsible for your data

KAIM Research LLC, a South Dakota limited liability company with its registered address at 1119 S Newport Pl, Sioux Falls, SD 57106, United States, is the controller of the personal data we collect about people who use this site. When you subscribe, you are contracting with KAIM Research LLC. Our orders are handled by Paddle, our Merchant of Record, which is a separate controller for the payment and billing data it collects.

What we collect

We do not see your full card number or other payment details. Paddle collects and processes those.

How we use it

We send account and service emails, sign-in links and replies to your messages, to every subscriber; these are not optional, since the Service cannot work without them. Paddle sends receipts and billing notices. We send marketing emails, such as new index releases, new publications, or KAIM Research updates, only to people who have opted in. We apply this opt-in standard to every visitor, wherever you are, rather than only where the law requires it. If you opt in, we add your email address to a marketing contact list held in Resend Audiences, the same provider that delivers our sign-in emails. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also withdraw your opt-in at any time by unsubscribing or emailing info@kaimresearch.com; either way, Resend removes you from the list. Opting out of marketing email does not affect the account and service emails you need to use the Service.

Where the law of your region requires a legal basis, we rely on:

Who else handles your data

We do not share your personal information for advertising, and we do not receive payment for it. We may disclose information if the law requires it or to protect our rights.

Cookies and browser storage

We use only what is essential: a sign-in token kept in your browser so you stay signed in. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies, so there are no cookie preferences to manage. If that changes, we will update this notice and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against accidental or unlawful loss, destruction, alteration, unauthorized disclosure, and unauthorized access, as applicable law requires. These include encryption of data in transit, access controls that limit who can reach our systems and data, and service providers that maintain their own security programs.

We are not responsible for the security of how you send information to us, for example over a network or device that you do not control. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and subscription details while your subscription is active, and afterward for as long as needed for tax, accounting, and legal purposes and to handle any disputes. We then delete or anonymize them.

Where it is processed

We are based in the United States, and your information is processed in the United States and in other countries where our service providers operate. Where the law requires safeguards for international transfers, we rely on the safeguards our providers put in place.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access your personal information, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, and receive a copy of it in a portable format. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. You may also contact the appropriate authorities in your place of domicile, such as your local data protection authority.

To use any of these rights, email info@kaimresearch.com from the address on your account. We may ask you to confirm your identity first. We respond within one month, and we may extend that period where the law allows. For billing records held by Paddle, you can also contact Paddle directly.

Children

The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this notice

If we change this notice, we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
